Rev. K.W. Tulloss, National Civil Rights and Religious Leader
Carson, CA — Carson is known as the Jewel of the South Bay, a city with a proud history, strong neighborhoods, diverse communities, and residents who care deeply about its future.
My support for Measure CU is rooted in a fundamental belief: The people of Carson deserve a meaningful voice in determining who represents them and how their city is governed.
I believe local government should be built on accountability, transparency, fiscal responsibility, and respect for the residents it serves.
In considering Measure CU, several principles guide my position.
First, I believe in the power of the people. Our democracy works best when residents are informed, engaged, and empowered to participate in decisions that shape their communities.
Second, I believe responsible leadership matters. Carson’s financial stability, public services, infrastructure, and long-term opportunities should remain central to every conversation about the city’s future. I recognize the importance of leadership that places the needs of residents above personal or political interests.
Third, I believe the public deserves an honest conversation. During election season, competing narratives can sometimes overshadow the actual issues. Residents deserve accurate information, respectful dialogue, and an opportunity to evaluate the facts for themselves.
As a civil rights and religious leader, I have always believed that public service is about more than holding a title. It is about making a difference in people’s lives, protecting opportunities, and building communities where future generations can prosper.
Carson’s future belongs to its residents. Their voices matter, their concerns matter, and their participation matters.
My support for Measure CU reflects these convictions and my continued commitment to the people and future of Carson.
Signed,
Rev. K.W. Tulloss
