Energy, excitement, and a clear sense of purpose filled the room as Ayanna Davis officially launched her campaign, drawing a vibrant crowd of supporters, community leaders, and residents eager to be part of the moment.

Held in Carson, the campaign kickoff event was marked by enthusiastic applause, meaningful conversations, and a shared commitment to community-driven leadership. Attendees packed the space, signaling early momentum for Davis and her vision for the future.

From the outset, the event felt less like a formal political gathering and more like a community celebration. Supporters greeted one another warmly, engaged in discussions about local priorities, and expressed optimism about the direction of the campaign. Volunteers and organizers kept the energy high, ensuring that every guest felt welcomed and informed.

Taking the stage, Davis addressed the crowd with passion and clarity, outlining her commitment to serving the community and uplifting the voices of residents.

“I come from a family rooted in public service and organized labor, where I saw firsthand what it means to work hard, fight for dignity on the job, and advocate for others. For me, running for office is a natural progression—continuing that legacy by standing up for working families and giving a voice to those who often go unheard,” Davis said.

Her remarks centered on unity, progress, and the importance of responsive leadership. She emphasized the need to stay connected to the community and to ensure that decisions reflect the real needs and experiences of the people.

“Not every family knows how to navigate systems or advocate for what their children need, and that’s where leadership matters. I’ve spent my career being that voice—bridging the gap, advocating from the inside, and making sure our communities are seen, heard, and supported,” Davis added.

Throughout the morning, it was evident that the campaign is rooted in grassroots support. Attendees were not just spectators—they were active participants, engaging with campaign staff, signing up to volunteer, and sharing their own hopes for the future of the city.

“I came out this morning because I wanted to hear her for myself, and I’m leaving encouraged. She speaks to the everyday experiences of people in this community, and that’s the kind of leadership we need right now,” said one local resident.

The kickoff also highlighted the diversity and strength of Assembly District 65. From young voters to longtime residents, the crowd reflected a wide range of voices coming together with a shared goal: to stay informed, engaged, and involved in shaping their city’s future.

“This didn’t feel like a typical campaign event—it felt like community. Ayanna has a way of connecting with people, and you can see why so many are getting behind her early,” another attendee shared.

With a successful kickoff behind her, Davis now moves forward with a growing base of supporters and a message centered on empowerment, transparency, and progress.

As the campaign unfolds, one thing is clear: the energy seen at the kickoff is only the beginning.
